Co-Host Presently he is the only registered lobbyist in the United States representing extraterrestrial related phenomena research/activist organizations, and X-PPAC is the first political action committee to target the political implications of extraterrestrial related phenomena. Between April 19 and November 5 of 2002 he conducted an independent candidacy in the 2002 congressional campaign in the 8th District of Maryland. It was the first instance in which a candidate on the November ballot in a federal election openly addressed the matter of an extraterrestrial presence and the government imposed truth embargo. On January 13 of 2003 he launched a new project, Citizen Hearing, which intends to conduct a week-long hearing in Washington, DC before former Members of the House and Senate. The motto for this project is, "If Congress will not do its job, the people will." Since 1996 Bassett has assisted a number of organizations and initiatives, which have been making the case for 1) an end to the government embargo on the truth surrounding an extraterrestrial presence and 2) open congressional hearings to take the testimony of former military and agency employees witness to extraterrestrial related events and evidence. He has spoken to millions of Americans about the likelihood and implications of a formal disclosure event.

William Birnes, Ph.D. As publisher of the nationally distributed “UFO Magazine,” editor of The UFO Encyclopedia published by Pocket Books, and co-author, with the nation’s top radio talk-show host, George Noory, of A Worker In The Light, Dr. Birnes has added to his list of publications in the UFO/Paranormal field, which include: The Day After Roswell, Unsolved UFO Mysteries, The Haunting of the Presidents, and, as a fiction writer, the “Star Trek” novel, The Dark Side of Paradise (Pocket Books, 2005 [forthcoming), with Ethan Phillips. A former member of the English Department faculty at Trenton State College in New Jersey where he taught structural linguistics and historical linguistics as well as literature and writing, Professor Birnes was a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellow, a Lily Post Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, and a grants award judge for the National Endowment for the Arts. William Birnes received his Ph.D. from New York University in 1974 while he was an Instructor of English at Trenton State College. He is currently completing his J.D. at Concord University Law School. He started his own publishing and book production company, Shadow Lawn Press, in 1984 and relocated to Los Angeles in 1990 where he has produced a motion picture for Lifetime Television with Hearst Entertainment Television. Grant Cameron
(Canada) After composing a manuscript about the 1975-76 sightings, he moved on to research the work of the legendary Wilbert B. Smith. Smith headed up the Canadian government’s flying saucer investigation known as Project Magnet, which ran from 1950 to 1954. Over two decades Cameron was able to collect most of Smith’s files and written materials. He interviewed most of the associates around Smith who worked on the flying saucer investigation. He produced a CD-Rom data disk with most of the documents from the Smith files along with 12 hours of audio related to Smith's work. During the Smith research Grant learned of the former Penn State University president Dr. Eric Walker, who was identified by Dr. Robert Sarbacher as a key person inside the Cover-up. Cameron teamed up with T. Scott Crain to research and write UFOs, MJ-12, and the Government published by MUFON. Cameron then turned his research interests to the relationship of U.S. Presidents to the extraterrestrial issue. He made 13 trips to the U.S. National Archives and most of the Presidential archives looking for relevant documents. A major contribution of his work was a FOIA submission to the White House Office of Science and Technology which yielded nearly 1,000 pages of disclosure documents from the Clinton administration. Philip Corso, Jr. But his life was to take an extraordinary turn in 1997, when the senior Corso, his father, Colonel Philip J. Corso (ret.), published a memoir written with William J. Birnes (an X-Conference speaker). That memoir, The Day after Roswell , is easily one of the most controversial and implicative books published in the 20th Century. Now Phil, Jr. has an additional vocation - protecting, extending and validating his father's legacy. Philip J. Corso, Sr. died in July of 1998 at the age of 83. He had made a decision to tell his story as best he could. He spoke eloquently about the need for the United States government to tell the American people about their world. Now his son speaks for him. It is a worthy vocation, the product of which may well be a paradigm change in human affairs. |

Paul Davids Paul began in television as segment producer for F. Lee Bailey’s “Lie Detector” in 1983, and then from 1985 to 1987 he served as production coordinator for about 80 episodes of the phenomenally popular “Transformers” animated TV show, most of which Rhino has released on DVD. (He was also writer of some of the episodes). He co-authored six Star Wars books for Lucasfilm and Bantam with his wife, Hollace, and their book “The Glove of Darth Vader” is now in its 25th printing. His other feature film credits include: director of “Timothy Leary’s Dead” (1997); and writer/director of “Starry Night” (Universal Pictures 2001 DVD), which has been repeatedly broadcast on Starz Cinema. He produced and starred in the feature documentary, “The Artist and the Shaman” (2001). His most recent project is the feature documentary, “The Sci-FIi Boys” (2003), featuring Leonard Maltin, Ray Bradbury, John Landis, Rick Baker, Roger Corman, Dennis Muren, Ray Harryhausen, Roy Thinnes and Forrest J Ackerman -- a tribute to many of the luminaries in the history of cinema science-fiction. As for the future, RKO has contracted with Paul to direct a dramatic feature film (from a screenplay he co-wrote with Richard Hoagland). Also of note, Paul is an accomplished artist, whose works are in major galleries, and many of which can be seen at the Paul Davids Online Art Gallery at his websites (www.pauldavids.com or www.starrynightmovie.com) Paul earned a B.A. from Princeton University, where he won the university’s three top creative writing awards all in one year (including the F. Richard Dolan In 1994 he became interested in the UFO problem, approaching it from the angle of history and politics. He was intrigued by the cultural schizophrenia - the fact that mainstream and academic culture (official culture) continued to treat UFOs as amusement, but that so many intelligent people privately had taken it seriously.
Throughout 1995, 1996, and 1997 he conducted a systematic bibliographic search, hunting down the many out-of-print books and UFO documents released over the years through the Freedom of Information Act. He found the amount of information nearly overwhelming. A detailed chronology of relevant events was prepared in advance of writing his critically acclaimed book, UFOs and the National Security State: Chronology of a Coverup, 1947-1973. This book provides the crucial foundation everyone needs: a clear, comprehensive, but concise historical narrative of the problem. He is now at work on the study's second volume, which will take the story through the remainder of the 20th century.

Timothy Good (United Kingdom) He became interested in the subject in 1955 when his passion for aviation and space led him to read a book by Major Donald Keyhoe describing sightings by qualified observers such as military and civilian pilots. In 1961, after reading a book by Captain Edward Ruppelt, a U.S. Air Force intelligence officer, he began to conduct his own research. Since then he has amassed a wealth of evidence, including several thousand declassified documents. Timothy Good has lectured at universities, schools and many organizations, including IBM, the Institute of Medical Laboratory Sciences, the Royal Canadian Military Institute, the Royal Geographical Society, the Royal Naval Air Reserve Branch, the House of Lords All-Party UFO Study Group and the Oxford and Cambridge Union societies. In January of 1989 following the dissolution of the Soviet empire, he became the first extraterrestrial related phenomena researcher from the West to be interviewed on Russian television. In May of 1998 he was invited to the Pentagon to discuss the issue at the Defense Airborne Reconnaissance Office. He has acted as associate producer for a number of television documentaries on the subject and is known to millions around the world through numerous television and radio broadcasts. His first book, Above Top Secret: The Worldwide UFO Cover-up (Sidgwick & Jackson, 1987) became an instant bestseller and is regarded widely as a definitive work on the subject, together with the fully revised and updated book replacing it, Beyond Top Secret: The Worldwide UFO Security Threat (Sidgwick & Jackson, 199), which remained for five weeks on the Sunday Times bestseller list. Alien Liaison: The Ultimate Secret (Century, 1991) spent thirteen weeks on the same bestseller list. William Hamilton Hamilton presented a paper on the electrogravity theory of spacecraft propulsion at the Advanced Propulsion Workshop hosted by NASA scientist Alan Holt at the MUFON Symposium in Houston in 1980. He has maintained an active interest in spacecraft propulsion systems and other areas of advanced technology as well as keeping abreast of the latest discoveries in astronomy and cosmology. Paola Leopizzi Harris
(Italy/Europe/Vatican) In 1997, Ms. Harris met and interviewed Col. Philip Corso in Roswell, New Mexico and became a personal friend and confidante. She was instrumental in having his book The Day After Roswell, for which she wrote the preface, translated into Italian. She consequently brought Colonel Corso to Italy for the editorial group Futuro, publisher of Il Giorno Dopo Roswell, and Corso was present for many TV appearances and two conferences. She returned to Roswell in the summer of 2003 for the American debut of her book, Connecting the Dots…making sense of the UFO Phenomena, published by Granite Press. Because of her international perspective on extraterrestrial related phenomena and her work with Dr. J. Allen Hynek, Paola has consulted with many researchers about the best avenues for planetary disclosure with emphasis on the “big picture” and stressing the historical connection. She is a close friend of Monsignore Padre Corrado Balducci and assisted in filming the Italian witnesses, including the Monsignore, for the Disclosure Project for the May 9, 2001 press conference. Richard C. Hoagland

Special Event Speaker) In the early 1970's, Hoagland proposed to Carl Sagan (along with Eric Burgess) the placement of a message to Mankind aboard Pioneer 10 -- humanity's first unmanned probe of Jupiter; subsequent to its 1973 Jovian Encounter, celestial mechanics resulted in Pioneer 10 becoming the first artifact to successfully escape the solar system into the vast Galaxy beyond -- carrying the Plaque -- whose origins were officially acknowledged by Sagan in the prestigious journal, Science (175 [1972], 881). In the early 1980's, based on NASA data from the more sophisticated unmanned Voyager fly-bys of the outer planets, Hoagland became the first to propose (in a widely-quoted series of UPI and AP stories on his startling paper, published in 1980 in Star & Sky Magazine) the possible existence of deep ocean life under the global ice shield perpetually surrounding the enigmatic moon of Jupiter, Europa. At the time, most (though not all) NASA scientists instantly derided this idea; two outstanding dissenters from the unfortunately then-common NASA view were Director of the Goddard Institute for Space Studies, Dr. Robert Jastrow, and well-known science writer and visionary, Arthur C. Clarke. In the sequel to his outstanding epic 2001 (2010: Odyssey Two), built entirely around this extraordinary concept of eon-old life in the ice-covered oceans of Europa, Clarke wrote: The fascinating idea that there might be life on Europa . . . was first proposed by Richard C. Hoagland [in a 30-page article] in the magazine Star & Sky... This quite brilliant concept has been taken seriously by a number of astronomers (notably NASA's Institute for Space Studies, Dr. Robert Jastrow), and may provide one of the best motives for the projected GALILEO Mission. In the early 1990's Hoagland led a team of volunteers and consultants in the creation of a pioneering space-age inner-city educational effort at Dunbar Senior High, just off Capitol Hill, in Washington D.C. The experiment was built around the concept of student involvement in real time' mission planning and data acquisition during various NASA planetary exploration missions, such as Hubble and the ill-fated Mars Observer. Starting as an after school extracurricular activity, and using donated state-of-the-art computer imaging equipment and enhancement algorithms, The Enterprise Mission and becoming a crew member of the 'U.S.S. Dunbar' eventually became an accredited course in the Dunbar school curriculum. Over the years, scores of senior NASA Headquarters and Goddard Space Flight Center personnel have enthusiastically participated in the project, including installation of a student satellite data link direct to NASA and on-site briefing of students on many current NASA projects. Education advocate, then First Lady Barbara Bush, personally came to Dunbar early in the project, for a personal briefing by the students; this -- the original ENTERPRISE Mission -- was ultimately nominated for a White House Point of Light award. Since 1983, Hoagland has been leading an outside effort in a critically acclaimed independent analysis of possible intelligently-designed artifacts on NASA (and other) data sets -- beginning with the unmanned NASA VIKING mission to Mars in 1976, and its provocative images of a region called Cydonia. Hoagland has been invited at least four times to various NASA Centers since 1988, to brief thousands of NASA scientists and engineers on the results of their on-going Cydonia investigation. In 1989, Hoagland and his colleagues briefed then-Chairman of the House Committee on Space Science and Applications, Representative Robert Roe, on the status of their Mars Investigation. Chairman Roe, before his sudden and unexplained resignation from the Congress, directed NASA to acquire better images from Mars during its then-upcoming Mars Observer mission; Mars Observer's equally sudden and tragic disappearance in 1993 precluded any new data relating to Cydonia. In 1993, Hoagland was awarded the International Angstrom Medal for Excellence in Science by the Angstrom Foundation in Stockholm, Sweden for that continuing research. In the last 4 years his investigations have been quietly extended to include over 30 years of previously hidden data from NASA, Soviet, and Pentagon missions to the Moon -- with startling results. Linda Moulton Howe Ms. Howe has received local, national and international awards, including three regional Emmys and a national Emmy nomination. Those films have included Poison in the Wind and A Sun Kissed Poison which compared smog pollution in Los Angeles and Denver; Fire In The Water about hydrogen as an alternative energy source to fossil fuels; A Radioactive Water about uranium contamination of public drinking water in a Denver suburb; and A Strange Harvest which explored the worldwide animal mutilation mystery which has haunted the United States and other countries from the mid-20th century to date. Linda has also received honors as a medical producer in Boston's WCVB Station Excellence Peabody Award, received the Aviation & Space Writers Association Award for Writing Excellence in Television, Sigma Delta Chi Excellence In Journalism Award, a Chicago Film Festival Golden Plaque for A Radioactive Water, a national Emmy Award nomination for Poison in the Wind and A Sun Kissed Poison. Linda was honored with the Colorado Florence Sabin Award for outstanding contribution to public health and received three regional Emmys for Writing Achievement, Directing and Sound Editing for her documentary investigations: Fire in the Water, A Radioactive Water and A Strange Harvest. Linda also received Ohio State Awards for Fire in the Water and Borrowed Faces and actor Robert Redford, founder of the Sundance Film Festival and prominent environmentalist, presented Linda with a Citizens Participation Award from the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency for television documentaries about air pollution and energy alternatives to fossil fuels. She also received the Cine Golden Eagle presented to Borrowed Faces for excellence to represent the United States in international motion picture events abroad. Other documentary and writing work: Director of International Programming for Earthbeat, an environmental series broadcast on Ted Turner's WTBS Superstation, Atlanta, Georgia; The World of Chemistry for PBS; produced and hosted a two-hour special Earth Mysteries: Alien Life Forms in association with WATL-Fox, Atlanta; and produced three documentaries for UNICEF about international child survival efforts. Linda produced an update to her original documentary, A Strange Harvest, about the continuing worldwide animal mutilation mystery in her independent production, Strange Harvests 1993. She also contracted with Paramount Studios as Supervising Producer and Original Concept creator for an hour special based on her Earth Mysteries program. That hour, UFO Report: Sightings, was first broadcast in October 1991 and led to the Sightings series on the Fox network. Linda has traveled throughout the United States and Canada, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Australia, Peru, Venezuela, England, France, Sweden, The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Yugoslavia, Mexico, the Yucatan, and Puerto Rico for research and productions Linda has written four books: An Alien Harvest which investigates the worldwide animal mutilation phenomenon and Glimpses of Other Realities, Volumes I and II which concern U.S. military, intelligence and civilian testimonies about other forces that interact with earth life. C. B. Scott Jones, PhD Human Potential Foundation In 1989, he and Senator Claiborne Pell co-founded the Human Potential Foundation that was involved in a number of research projects. These included a joint effort with the Chinese Academy of Somatic Science in Beijing, in accelerated bone healing using qi gong; a sponsored symposium conducted by Russian medical scientists on psychoanalytical and psychocorrection computer technologies; a survey of attitudes of medical professionals toward death and the dying process and how these are translated into decisions about treatment of critical and terminal patients; the translation from Chinese of the book: Collected Works on Qi Gong Science. Under the Center for Interspecies Communications, the Foundation conducted Projects Neptune Helper I and II, dolphin research with Atlantic Bottlenose and Spotted dolphins. A major two-year program funded by Laurance Rockefeller was completed with an international conference, When Cosmic Cultures Meet, in Washington, D.C. in May 1995. At the conference a wide spectrum of academic disciplines and interests assessed the implications, preparations and responses for the time when there is no ambiguity about the understanding that higher intelligences from cosmic cultures are meeting. In November 1998, the Human Potential Foundation was dissolved and its principal undertaking, a global peace initiative, transferred to the newly established Peace and Emergency Action Coalition for Earth, Inc. Current Programs in P.E.A.C.E. Inc. The principal program of P.E.A.C.E. Inc is the establishment of a global system of Centers for Sustainable Peace and Development. Over seven years of planning and consultation with academic, political, spiritual, military, intelligence and business leaders has lead to the current system design. In November 2002, the University of Jordan announced its decision to host a Center. Discussions with other universities around the world are under way. A second program is a recommendation made to President George W. Bush to establish a cabinet level Peace Advisor position, and to encourage his global counterparts to do the same. A third program is draft legislation for a federally funded international scholarship program to establish a Professional Peaceworker Corps. Bruce Maccabee, PhD His UFO research and investigations (which are completely unrelated to his Navy work) have included the Kenneth Arnold sighting (Jun 24, 1947), the McMinnville, Oregon (Trent) photos of 1950, the Gemini 11 astronaut photos of September, 1966, the New Zealand sightings of December, 1978, the Japan Airlines (JAL1628) sighting of November 1986, the numerous sightings that occurred in the area around Gulf Breeze Florida between 1987 and 1997 (a period of time that includes his own sighting in Gulf Breeze in September, 1991), the Mexico City video of August, 1997, the Phoenix lights sightings of March 13, 1997 (the videos obtained at about 10 pm) and many others. Between 1991 and 1994, Nick was posted to a division called
Secretariat (Air Staff) and given the job of researching and investigating
the UFO phenomenon, mirroring the work done in the U.S. by the Air Force's
Project Blue Book in the 1960's. Although most of the cases could be
explained as misidentifications of known objects and phenomena, a hard
core of sightings defied any conventional explanation. Strong evidence
emerged suggesting the presence of structured craft capable of speeds and
maneuvers beyond the capability of even the most advanced prototype craft
operated by the Royal Air Force or the United States Air Force.
Nick's unique access to new data and previous government
files convinced him the UFO phenomenon raised serious defense and national
security issues. There were numerous instances where UFOs had been
tracked on radar, leading to jets being scrambled. There were also cases
with terrifying near-misses between UFOs and civilian aircraft. All this
led him to believe that an extraterrestrial explanation for some sightings
could not be ruled out. His official investigations into UFOs drew him into other mysteries such as alien abductions, crop circles and cattle mutilations. Upon leaving the Ministry's UFO project (which continues), he continued his research and investigations privately and is now recognized as a leading researcher into both governmental and phenomenological aspects of the extraterrestrial controversy.
