"Our Republic and its press will rise or fall together. An able, disinterested, public-spirited press, with trained intelligence to know the right and courage to do it, can preserve that public virtue without which popular government is a sham and a mockery. A cynical, mercenary, demagogic press will produce in time a people as base as itself. The power to mould the future of the Republic will be in the hands of the journalists of future generations."  Joseph Pulitzer
Where is Television/Cable News?
Since 1947 tens of thousands of English and foreign language print articles have been published regarding the extraterrestrial presence (UFO) issue. A few thousand of these can be seen HERE. And since the mid-1990's the cable news networks have aired hundreds of relevant news segments. While this coverage was helpful and raised public awareness, it was not enough to break the truth embargo.

It should be noted the network news venues (ABC, NBC, and CBS) since 1947 have failed the public to the greatest degree by rarely covering the issue - a shameful record.

It is also notable the cable news channels that frequently do +cover the issue (see below), stand down during the elections. There seems to be a collusive understanding that when candidates are seeking the highest office in the nation, cable news needs to step back lest the public find out what aspiring presidents think on the subject. It is the issue that dare not speak its name.

PRG is working hard to see that does not happen during this election cycle. If any cable or network news producers are willing to come forward and state publicly the presence of extraterrestrials engaging the human race is not an important matter worthy of consideration by the American voter or a matter of national security, let them do so. Perhaps their arguments will be so persuasive, the truth advocacy movement will itself stand down, allowing television news to return unencumbered to the gripping accounts of who is winning in the poles day after day after day.

Absent such a statement, many in the electorate would appreciate television news putting some election year journalistic attention to what is easily the most important issue in the world today.
