The Black Vault began in 1996 as a project of John Greenewald, Jr. when he WAS A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT and quickly became the largest repository of FOIA documents pertaining to UFO/ET phenomena in the world. Many of these documents were obtained by FOIA requests submitted by Greenewald. John is now a private researcher and has not only stayed the course, he has grown the site to literally massive proportions, including FOIA documents for a number of other areas of importance. It is the view of Paradigm Research Group the Black Vault is one of the most important websites on the internet and will eventually receive substantial institutional support as a national resource.
